Makhan Malai - Islamabad

Makhan Malai Restaurant is one of the best desi restaurant in the area. It serves many desi and Chinese dishes. The atmosphere is pure traditional and desi. I recently visited the restaurant during Sehri Ride of Royal Riders Pakistan. We have there dehri buffet. Everything we have from the sehri buffet was outclas, truly exceptional. I never expected it to be this good! If they can keep up this standard, specially there gillafi kababs are full of taste. I have no doubt that they’ll become one of the best fast food point of this area in Islamabad, or at least one of the best for sure. Keep up the exceptional quality. Highly recommended.

Superb food. All dishes were Tasty and freshly cooked. Traditional furniture and setup.seems very comfortable. Semi open air environment adds up the experience.

Not much to talk about really. The food quality and taste are very inconsistent. Meaning each time you visit or order a home delivery, you can 't expect to get the same taste buds experience. This is on top of the fact that their food isn 't really anything to write home about to begin with. I once ordered Roghani naan and they were very good. The next time I ordered they were just pathetic. Also be aware that this hotel is next to a Nalla (natural rain channel) which is extremely polluted by the humans so hygiene will definitely be an issue.

Overall I don't like this restaurant. Its untidy. Though they have tried to give the traditional village look but somehow needs improvement. Food was somehow ok but service was not appropriate. I went for iftar dinner. There was a big time gap between iftari and serving dinner and the customer had to wait for dinner. Dinner lacks dessert choice. However the cost of the Iftar was affordable by comparing with other restaurants now days looking at the current economic situation.

It was a good experience, truly value for money. Great taste and well designed environment
