While we stayed in isigny, we sat outside the bar and had an appero most nights. the service was friendly and the location, on the main square is perfect for watching the world by.
On the way to the D-Day beaches and thrown off early to refuel! fairly limited possibilities available, so selected the obligatory croissant, juice and coffee! mainly a bar that makes light meal, could make much worse!
The Rodney Boys stopped off in Isigny-sur-Mer and found Le Versailles in the main square. It is a quiet town and the Saturday market was winding down for the day, but plenty of locals congregating at Le Versailles for lunch. We sat outside and enjoyed...some fruit and Croques Madames all around. The waitress is the spitting image of Yvette (Vicky Michel) from Allo Allo and looked even more the part in her uniform. A simple eatery with excellent service enjoyed with some beers and some local wine nice one we did not manage to speak to the owner, who we understand goes by the name of Rene. He had, apparently, taken the day off to go shopping with his wife, Edith! Hmmmmm....had we been had?
Manger plusieurs fois lieu froid surtout plein de courant d'air mais service rapide. Choix correct mais prix un peu élevé pour ce que l'on mange. Disons qu il ne faut pas y aller tous les jours car on a vite fait le tour.
