Ihop - Irvine

I absolutely adore IHOP, but my experience at this particular location was terrible. When we arrived, there were not many customers in the restaurant, yet there were at least 5 employees just standing around the coffee area. 1. The server took our order and never returned. After waiting for 20 minutes, I inquired about our order and was informed that it had been lost or something similar, resulting in a long wait for our food with no apologies. 2. Our order was finally delivered by two separate individuals - one brought pancakes, while another brought eggs and sausage. Our server never checked on us or asked about our satisfaction with the meal. 3. The bacon was undercooked and extremely greasy. I would have liked it replaced, but that was not offered. 4. When I requested the check, I placed my card on the table. The server reached across us to grab the card before even bringing the check, which I found to be incredibly rude. 5. It's important to note that this restaurant is quite pricey. We split a breakfast of eggs, sausage, bacon, and pancakes, along with a coffee and orange juice, which amounted to $45.

The portion size was not worth the high price. The restaurant was nearly empty and it took 45 minutes for the food to arrive after ordering. The pancakes were cold and the butter was hard and cold, which didn't mix well. The waiter was friendly, but didn't check on us or clear our dishes. We had to flag him down for the check, and then saw him chatting with the cooks instead of attending to customers. It took over an hour to dine and leave, despite there being few other customers. Overall, a disappointing experience. 2 out of 5 stars.

Came in on Friday 9/2/2022, was sat immediately, however, we waited about 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. A family of 5 was sat after us and go their drinks and order placed right away. With the slow service and $20 per person price we will mostlikely not return.

We were straight from the close by airport, and hungry. Noonish, we said we wanted lunch, but upon looking at the 55 plus menu, saw that the tilapia dinner was only 70 cents more. We both had that selection and were very happy with it. Only had toask for a little melted butter for the broccoli. Had water to drink.

I had a solo breakfast at IHOP on Friday morning. The service was fantastic, from the moment I arrived and received my coffee to when I left with a full belly. The food was delicious, especially the chow and pancakes. The staff at IHOP were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend it.
