Habana- Irvine Spectrum

We always enjoy coming here. Came for our anniversary. We were 15 minutes late, and inside tables were full. So she gave us an outside table with booth seating. In a private area. So nice :

The good: Great service, friendly staff, quick turnaround. The bad: small portions, way overpriced for what the food is (think about it, $10 for a side of rice), the food lacks authenticity. Food is ok at best. Pickled onions tasted as if they were doused in vinegar vs actually picked.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Habana in Irvine, and it was an experience worth sharing. I particularly enjoyed the empanadas, beans, and rice, which was a highlight of the meal – cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. In addition to the fantastic food, the value for money was impressive. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it an excellent choice for casual and special occasions. One of the standout aspects of my visit was the service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. They went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable, providing recommendations and accommodating special requests with a smile. Overall, Habana offers a wonderful blend of great food, excellent value, and a charming ambiance. The exceptional service added the perfect finishing touch to an already memorable evening. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience.

Too busy on Mothers day. Food was, in my opinion lackluster, dish was burnt so we asked for a replacement. Salmon was excellent. Kept running out of items on menu. Ordered coffee and waited 20 mins only to be told they closed the machine and would not be getting it. Needless to say, will not go there for an occasion. Regular menu is good though.

On Mother's Day, we had a reservation for 6:45. Upon arrival, we were informed that we would have to wait an hour to be seated. There was no apology and when I suggested it would have been helpful to be notified in advance, they reacted as if I was being unreasonable.
