Smokehouse 93 - Invermere

I had high hopes for this bbq, but it fell very short. Had the Sampler Platter with Mac Cheese. The Mac was Rotella instead, and the noodles were way overcooked. The coleslaw is vinegar based. The brisket and turkey were on the dry side. The seating inside is mostly picnic tables. The highlight was the Sweet BBQ Sauce, which is purchased. Most of the meat had very little smoke flavor.Wheelchair accessibility: This place is NOT wheelchair accessible. Gravel parking lot. Step up to the patio that leads to the front door. There is a ramp from the order stand to the seating area. There is also a 9-inch step over threshold for the exit.

While working in town for the week my colleague and I wanted to stop by the Smokehouse after passing it on the way into town. Our first attempt for dinner was unfortunate as the Smokehouse had sold out of meat, however this only fueled our curiosity. We made sure the following day to get there for lunch and boy are we happy we did. We both ordered the BBQ Beast bun with the side of maple butter Jalapeño corn bread. First I have to say that Jalapeño cornbread with the maple butter is a serious game changer to what I usually look at as a plate filler, never before have I had a side at a BBQ restaurant that I seriously look forward too, that is a dam good side and I strongly recommend you order one. Now onto the main course, the Beast bun , gather plenty of napkins as the bun is quite loaded and dripping in sauce, the addition of the split sausage is a nice texture, the pulled pork and brisket go really well together. This has quickly turned into our Goto spot in Invermere for lunch. My only complaint is the amount of wasps bees that swarm you while trying to have lunch, it’s a best tiring trying to keep them out of the can of soda or bbq sauce, but don’t let that deter you. Well worth the stop

The sampler was great value for money. And holy cow was it so good. Potato salad and coleslaw were nice sides for all that mouth watering, fall of the bone smoked meat. Good ambience and great service were perfect after an afternoon of paddleboarding.

Very friendly staff, fast service and the food is great! High-quality for the price if you're looking for something quick and budget friendly.It definitely has a southern hospitality feel to the atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly

When you are craving meat... This is the place! We had the brisket and pulled pork. Both were soft, tender and smoky.Great young staff at the till as well.
