Came here for dinner with friends on New Year's Eve. Opted out of the set menu as it was so much food. The cheese fondue appetizer was incredibly tasty and the main course was even better. The beef duo was cooked to perfection and the array of vegetables that came with it was superb. Definitely worth the price not only for the quantity of food but also the quality. Would highly recommend this place.
This was one of the best meals I have ever had. From the wine to the main course and dessert, everything was amazing. I highly recommend making the effort to dine here.
I will always hold a special place in my heart for this restaurant. My partner and I celebrated our 4-year wedding anniversary here, and the atmosphere was truly incredible. We dined on the patio surrounded by lush trees and plants. The service was exceptional and the food was even better. I had dressed up a bit assuming it would be a fancier dining experience given the menu, but I soon realized that guests in shorts and t-shirts were also welcomed. Whether you're looking to dress up or not, this restaurant is perfect for a nice meal.
We planned dinner in the area as we do on each Wednesday during our two weeks in Radium every summer. I looked through all the reviews for any of the places we were tossing around and Birchwood came up on top against all other places and reviews. So, we made a reservation and off we went to Invermere for 6:00. We were seated promptly by a friendly helpful, young hostess. Our server, Louise, was wonderful. My companions were my 82 year old Father, his like-aged girlfriend and my 18 year old son. We ordered the bread and the calamari for appetizers. The bread is local artisanal served with three types of butter (sun-dried tomato, olive and regular). The calamari was fresh and lightly breaded over a light chopped pepper/tomato salad and what was described as a smoked tzatziki (I didn 't taste the smoke but it was good). For entrees, my son and I each had the steak and lobster mac and cheese. My Father and companion had the citrus braised lamb shank. We were all very happy with our meals. The shanks were huge and well received. The steak had a nice crust but a soft non-chewy finish. The son proclaimed the lobster mac and cheese one of the best he 's had (surprisingly, he 's had it a lot). After, we were just sitting and enjoying the atmosphere while awaiting the bill when Louise came by with a kitchen 'mistake ' of two ice cream sandwiches. Well, that just put everything over the top. The dessert is hard to describe due to how good it is. Homemade ice cream is sandwiched between two cookie type, chewy in a good way, brownies and placed over a dulce de leche sauce with some crunchy brittle. Just amazing. Highly recommended!
