Sitzwohl - Bar - Innsbruck

Picked this restaurant last minute after some internet research and was very glad we did! Chose the five course menu €78pp and loved every single course! Fine dining at its best relaxed atmosphere but with superb service and delicious food. Cervice seabass and guacamole/quail consommé/lobster ravioli/venison/sacher bomb every one presented beautifully and full of beautiful flavours. Only here for a week but would happily come again if we could! Bravo!!

If you want superb food, service and ambiance, go to Sitzwohl Restaurant in Innsbruck, Austria. Our server Russell recommended a traditional Austrian dish called Beuschel which was amazing. The Coq au vin with Roquefort dumplings was also amazing!! Russell recommended a red wine, Zenato Valpolicella Ripassa which was the best wine my brother has tasted on this trip! We were served a variety of breads with a choice of butter, shredded beef and truffle spread and olive oil while waiting for our main meal. The spread was very good. The menu was varied and well priced. Both Russell and the other server named Lee made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed our chats with them. We were even invited to meet the chef. She was so nice and really appreciate us taking the time to tell her how amazing we thought our meal was. If you are ever in Innsbruck, Austria this is a must stop, Thank you for making our dining experience so special!!

A delightful restaurant. Cool, calm ambience. Attentive, friendly staff and excellent food. All three of us agreed it was the best we experienced during our holiday. I had the Tyrolen classic Gröstl, which is basically a fry up of bacon, potato and onion; but it was cooked so well with such care and attention to ingredients and seasoning, it made me hungry for more.

4+ Located just outside old town, very nice building with a bar downstairs, for “desert” : Good mood, very nice stuff and menu is a-la-carte. Tried sirloin and rabbit, both delicious (to be picky a bit salty for my taste . They have also tasting menus, but i wasn’t that hungry. Prices are very good, so enjoy a great dinner there !

Absolutely fantastic black angus with truffle risotto. And the mousse au chocolat raspberry cake was amazing. The food was great, the service also very good, very nice waiters. But, the service is quite long. It took us 2 hours to have 2 meals, because of the wait. Dog friendly as well.
