Bidrage med feedbackSince they moved to the new place. It's an end for an order. My wife wanted chicken strips so I called before the time and said they were just trying to figure out they were out for the day. They were extremely apologetic. I just have to deal with a crazy woman. Lol. I got her a drawn chicken sandwich combination with Fritten and Mac n cheese. I have the pulled pork plate with pommes and beans. Everything was delicious. Both the chicken and the pig had great smokey taste. Your sauces should die. I have honey mustard, North Carolina honey mustard and Dr. Pepper. If you visit Strawberry Hill and are hungry, they are just a mile behind Hill on the left. Stop and try. They're open to Din. Really friendly people.
Everything was delicious! We had ribs that fell from the bone, pulled pork that was tender, and grilled cheese for the children (which they liked). We tried the Dr.Pepper sauce and the Sweet and Mild. Both were good and both were on the side we prefer. We liked everything and plan to come back soon!
One of my favorite things about driving all over SC upstate for my job is that I can discover delicious restaurants from the beaten path. CD was a great discovery. The owners and employees were very hospitable and attentive. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Enjoy a new lunch!
We ordered 4 plates to go tonight, Ribs that were so tender the meat of the bones, pulled pork (PERFECT ! Fried okra, sweet potato crunch, Hush pups... all delicious. Everyone nice to go on time with the order, not too fast or slow! You won't go hungry or mad.
So we made it back on smoked wing day for our second visit...just to make sure the first visit wasn't a fluke. CD's is the real deal! Ate my first wing without sauce as the ultimate test. Just a little salt brings out a nice smoky flavor--crisp on the outside and moist inside. Fried okra was top shelf, as usual. The baked mac was just like grandma's. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Real iced tea. Gotta taste the Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce. I drank the last bit from the dipping cup :o
