Bidrage med feedbackJohny Hot Dog is probably one most known Street Food Stall Brand from Indore. It is located in the equally famous and iconic “56 Dukan” area which is Foody’s paradise. Johny Hot Dog has been around for something like 40 years. Celebrities and common folk alike, have enjoyed the burgers dished out by Johny Hot Dog. It would be rare to find someone with a love of burgers not to have eaten at or heard of Johny Hot Dog. The last time I went there, I saw a picture of Kamal Nath the state chief minister having brought Rahul Gandhi to enjoy the burgers. Egg Benjo as it is called serves a luscious soft omelette between pan warmed and buttered buns. Then there is veg patty served in the buns. I missed out visiting Johny Hot Dog during the current visit. He deserves to be on programme like ASIAN Street Food by the makers of Chef’s Table..
An excellent place to grab a quick satisfying bite in the day, or to make a meal out of it. Their mutton Hot Dogs are very nice but often go out of stock. Simplistic place to eat hygiene levels are a little bit of a concern. If you have a sturdy stomach then go for it... The surrounding is very crowded and be ready to be pushed about while eating so hang on to your food....
Have both vegetarian and non vegetarian option. I tried the vegetarian one. The dish resembles Bada Paw of Mumbai served with two type of chatnees. There is mad rush outside the shop. the rates are reasonable but taste is ok.
Ghee fried omlette or veg patti, served in soft buns. Accompanies with 2 types of chutnies. Always crowded very popular.
The place serves Veg and Non Veg burgers. But the preparations are amazingly tasty. It infact is a fast food item in Indore but very popular. I think every Indorian will vouch for Johnny hot dog. My personal favourite is the Egg banjo. The prices are very reasonable and expect heavy rush round the clock all year round
