Tilly's Tea Room - Indianapolis

We went to Tilly's for the first time today to celebrate an early Mother's Day. The whole experience was amazing. Originally I made a reservation for four people, but they were able to accommodate two extra people when I called to ask a few days inadvance. The staff was so friendly and the decor is very modern and chic. The food was very good, especially the vanilla tea andscones with clotted cream and strawberry champagne jelly. Our party also had seared salmon salads and the children's princessteas. The mini egg salad sandwiches were very tasty. They had plastic tea cups and utensils for my 4 year old, which was veryappreciated. All the plates, tea pots and cups/saucers were very elegant. I highly recommend Tilly's for any special occasion!

Visited without a reservation on the off chance they could squeeze us in. Met by Sharon who was lovely and made sure we got in even though they appeared to be extremely busy pre Christmas. After we sat down in their beautiful space inside Saks 5th Ave,we ordered afternoon tea accompanied by a couple of Mimosas. Service was attentive, friendly and based on the conversation withour waitress about Yorkshire tea, very knowledgeable. The food was excellent, we are English expats and have had tea in variousestablishments in London and Manchester and this was up there with them all. Finger sandwiches were delicious, especially theegg mayonnaise and cucumber and cheese. Pastries were delicate, fresh and tasty, and to top it off, a lovely homemade scone withreal clotted cream, a first for me in the States as you can?t get it here! Who would have thought that such an authenticEnglish experience could be found in such pleasant surroundings in the midwest, but here it is. A real treat, highlyrecommended, we?ll be back soon??. I met two friends here for lunch and was not disappointed! the waitress was very knowledgeable and accommodating. the chicken salad was a big hit. the waitress suggested a tee that was excellent! we planned our next trip before the table.

Tea with my daughter. We used to go often when she was young. Now she is a grown woman. We moved to Indiana when she was 13 and I never found a tea room that serves the afternoon tea that we were used to sharing. Tilly’s is it. The food was wonderful. The tea selection was amazing. The atmosphere was great. Most of all the service was wonderful! Even though it was a bit busy. Our waitstaff took time to visit a little and was very attentive.

I took my daughter to Tilly’s Tea Room for her birthday lunch. The hostess waitress was very kind. She was working by herself for a little while due to being short staffed like many places, but she was still on top of things. I loved the decor and the food was good although they were very skimpy on the chips w my sandwich . I do look forward to returning.
