The Journey - Indianapolis

It's a great place to get a lil' bit of a lot of flavors. It's more than seafood. There's prime rib with regular sides like Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes in addition to sushi and fried rice and other items. They have a salad and dessert bar as well.Food: 4/5

Thursday evening about 6:30PM seated immediately. It is an all-you-can-eat buffet predominantly Asian and the available seafood is mostly shrimp. A lot of variety...too much to try it all and some dishes were better than others. Not really enthusiastic but it was a first visit, may give it another try.Food: 3/5

We like the atmosphere better than other buffets. They didn’t have crab legs the last time we went for dinner, which was the main reason we went. Other than that they are typically available. Are they still on the menu? Everything else was alright… although too many parents allow their young children to go to the buffet unattended and they make a huge mess. I was completely turned off from the chocolate fountain. They were licking their fingers and sticking things in it. Gross… and no thank you.It could be kept a little more tidy.

The Journey, at least on this Sunday evening, is such a mixed bag. One easily gets the idea that this place has seen better days. Heck, just walking in, you notice that the place is falling apart. Definitely off-puting!!!The food, fortunately, was acceptable, if not anything exceptional. Nothing tasted weird or gross.What was VERY irritating was how the crepe/hibachi area was being handled. They might just have well have shut down the hibachi, because everyone seemed to want crepes!! Huge line for crepes, but NOTHING to speak of in the bins for hibachi stir fry items. Very disappointing, because the hibachi is great, normally. And is the reason I came.Then, when you look at the dessert table, and realize that it’s been neglected as well, you just kinda get turned off, and feel like you’ve been had.I might be back someday. But it will be on my usual Tuesday instead of on Sunday evening. It’s sad to give such a bad review, because the people there are so nice, and work so hard)

Outstanding place, clean and plenty to choose from. Outstanding options. They do close from 3-5pm. 20.99 an adult. To add a soda to drink is around 3.00. Two drinks two buffets 48.00. We will returnFood: 4/5
