The Colonial Inn - Indianapolis

We decided to go here tonight, although we haven't heard such good things. We were so surprised to learn how kind they are of ALL people! The lighting is sweet and they have a beautiful terrace area for smokers. The bartenders could not be more beautiful, whatever is beautiful. You have an amazing beer selection and we will definitely be back in the near future!

All they currently use is pizza, which was fine, because I wanted to try that anyway. Remove pizza. Looks like it's a microwave or something. No browning. Very embarrassing, too. I wanted to like this place badly because I was looking for an old bar nearby with good food at reasonable prices. The prices were reasonable, but pizza was not worth the cost. The staff was very friendly and nice! Place was clean.

I'm so glad to have found this place! I have done karaoke several times here; the audience and the participants are inconceivable, as well as reacting and encouraging for all singers with the courage to take the stage. All employees (bartender, security, KJs) are wonderful; Drink prices are good and so is the song selection. This place is proud of its tolerance and inclusiveness and in my experience they put their money where their mouth is! An essential stop if you're ever on the south side. P.S. Clean bathroom!!!

Not really sure how this place gets any stars, I was in this evening (friday) they were only moderately busy. The wait staff and security are absolutely horrible, waited forever standing in line at bar to get 2 beers, and was just stared at by multiple employees working behind the bar. Just to be told that I had to wait on another bartender because she is the one that I gave my card to. I worked many years in the bar industry, and if there are 2 people behind the bar they usually split tips, not refuse to help customers. When it was time to cash out, the bartenders just kept, ignoring me. To top it off the short round security guy that was very rude, was too busy not paying attention while 2 college kids were fighting at the bar, that customers had to break up, and neither person fighting was asked to leave, the guy that started it and was yelling how drunk he was was allowed to stay. I had high hopes for this place after them being remodeled and supposedly under new management, but it seems the management now is worse than it was before and the wait staff is terrible aswell. I'd be surprised if they are even still open a year from now!

Love the vibe of this place. I always stop by here when I’m in the city. Cheap drinks, great karaoke and super nice bartenders.
