Caplinger's Fresh Catch - Indianapolis

Great place to eat. Can get a bit crowded, but that is minor to the friendliness of the workers and owner and the great fresh fish food. We had the perch and it was excellent. Many places drop the ball on sides, but here. Sides included were awesome. If you like fish,you'll love this place.

Most of the staff was very friendly. They came around with samples of a tuna salad, which was very nice . We ordered catfish filled dinner and a fried shrimp dinner. All dinners come with 2 sides and hush puppies. So you get plenty of food. The sides were delicious Mac and cheese, red beans and rice and okra and Buffalo fries, so yummy. The shrimp were unfortunately over cooked, and the fish was undercooked. Not a fan of the house tartar sauce it was very sweet. They have their own house seasonings that leave a very different flavor to the taste buds. The boy taking orders was not very sure of what he was doing. We ordered dinners not knowing drinks didn't come with them and he never asked if we wanted drinks with our meals! So we had to get in line again to just order drinks. Nearly 7$ for 2 sweet teas is a bit hefty of a price tag.
