Clayhall Fish - ILFORD

I asked outside on a Friday night. not sure how I previously missed such a popular local chippy. it was worth waiting. I ordered an extra large part of fishing and chips, burst into teig and a savaloie. the parts were generous and more than enough for both of us. the teig was light and crispy. even if it took us about 10 minutes to get home, everything was fresh and not soggy. best chippy in the opposite yummy.

I was recommended this place by my brother-in-law, and he was definitely right. Wow, first impressions on a Friday night – this place was bustling! All the food is freshly cooked because they’re so busy. The Masala-Cod bites are a personal favorite of ours, and as Indians, we highly recommend them. Everything we tried was hot, fresh, and delicious. We definitely recommend Clayhall Fish Bar, and the staff suggested the masala fish, which deserves a solid 11 out of 10. It’s great to see them so busy – they truly deserve it!

The staff here is really friendly and pleasant. They prepare meals from fresh ingredients rather than using pre-heated food, which may take a bit longer but is definitely worth the wait. The menu offers a wide variety of options. I will definitely be returning!
