Bidrage med feedbackIts a nice place for meal. Pounded yam is well pounded and lovely to eat. The management needs to improve on making small meat available not everyone will eat ogunfe etc. Also, if they can't power generator due to the cost of diesel, they can as well make available rechargeable fans. The environment is conducive and the parking space is nice.
I got beans, plantains and bush meat and it was good! The meal was flavorful and not in the overwhelming way that’s typical of commercial meals. The sauce was tasty and spicy, the beans were a good texture and flavor, the meat was tender, tasty, with a nicely balanced flavor profile. I was super hungry and didn’t remember to take photos of the meal before tucking in, and I had absolutely no regrets taking a chance on this place. Alas, like many public establishments in this country, it wasn’t particularly accessible disability-friendly. I didn’t dine in, so I can’t particularly speak to the ambience, but the staff who attended to me was polite and warm, which was refreshing. It was a decent experience overall which is always appreciated.
The eatery is an old shadow of itself. The food is still good but the price are becoming unreasonable while the taste is losing value. The lighting and the furniture and furnishings are poor and the staff selling the food is often discourteous and unprofessional.
So I think this is one of those àmàlà places in Ibadan that has upgraded to a modern restaurant. You have all your regular àmàlà stuffs gbegiri, Ewedu etc. Fairly priced. The aesthetics/decor is a bit too ostentatious and service was a bit slow despite few numbers of customers. Parking maybe a challenge at peak period
Lovely and serene buka with sumptuous hot meals. I love the fact that mama Ope maintained their standard over the years.
