La Placinte - Iaşi

I'm not too familiar with restaurants in Iasi, but this place I found by chance is one of the best places I've been dinned lately. The staff is very well organized and friendly. The dishes are very good and more than sufficient.

Visited with friends and we ordered the signature feta and urda filled “placinta”. Had it several times during the last 5 years or so and was generally happy. This time it was very salty and kind of fat. Don't risk it again!

I like to come to La Placinte both in Republika Moldova and in Romania. Great Moldovan music, traditional, good quality food, perfect service. The sarmale (stuffed cabbage) Moldovan style (small then elsewhere in Romania) was very good with the acidic cream she serves...with.

I organised there a lunch and a dinner with partners from various countries. All of them appreciated the food and the atmosphere. I personally like their variate offer of food and wines, the great location and the restaurant setup. The menu has some translation in...English and, most important, pictures of the food which makes the restaurant more tourist-friendly than other restaurants in town. Also, the waiters I met where speaking English.

This was our first meal in Iasi and the most unforgettable! It's a chain, but the quality was high. Loved the local flavors, simple food, and they have a great selection and the menu has pictures that helped us a lot. Very delicious and also a great price. Feeling good and friendly service.
