Bidrage med feedbackOur travel companions explained that it was a must on the way to our weekend Weinapalooza weekend in Fredericksburg. We are not citizens, so we have prepared for some tasting and are on the way. In our defense we have tried cedar in the past and we both agree that it does not fit our pallet. Hye Cider has not changed our minds, but they have some fabulous options. We tried their sweeter options, but their Hye Stylin cider was our favorite. Hye Stylin is described as crisp and dry and is comparable to prosecco or champagne. Our server was very knowledgeable and was able to accurately explain the characteristics of each cedar. The terrain is beautifully covered with an outdoor terrace and a comfortable lounge area. The food trucks were not open during this visit, it was early, but after reading earlier reviews we may have to stop later on the day on our next visit.
Literally the funst tasting I've ever seen! And each of the 10 varieties we tasted was excellent. Not sure what kind of deal(s) they have made with which mystical being(s) but whatever magic happens here is the next level. Only we regret that we cannot fly into the Middle West with a keg (or two or three).
We came to a whim and wanted to go back before we left! Excellent cedar and a great place to hang for a while. When the truck is open while you are there, STOP AND EAT! Korean BBQ egg rolls and bowls. All right!
We were very welcome to Melanie at the New Year's Eve. She was friendly and helped explain the different options and seasons. We chose Hye Mighty and Pixie Punch. The three of us share both options and hope that they will be good again this seasonal. We enjoyed our time and drinks at Hye Cider. When we left, we joined the membership that gave us 15% bottles, including some that we bought for the way to enjoy later and as future gifts. Can't wait to come back!
We literally go here about once a month. The hard cider is a delightful variation from the 290 wine blues. Live music is often some of the best I've heard at opening events. We've cycled through many memberships in the area, and Hye is one we have always kept.
