Bidrage med feedbackOne of the best Chinese restaurants in Hurstville. Love the oyster and scallops set. The fish and chicken was a decent portion, had good flavour and was enjoyable. The restaurant is always busy so, book/call ahead of time. Sometimes its too busy for walk in. Would recommend and will come back.
I have been going to this chinese restaurant for a while now and I've always enjoyed the wide variety of amazing food. They've recently started to do takeaways which is pretty cool. Would definitely recommend!
Seated upstairs as it was a private function. Service was OK although they forgot to get us juice when we asked for it. Not much of an ambience with the cream walls and white light. You don't go to a Chinese restaurant for the ambience or service, you go for the abundance of food and chatter (although we were thankfully away from the main crowd downstairs).<br/ <br/ Appetiser was pork bone soup with lotus soup. Very standard for a Chinese restaurant and it was a delicate balance between sweet and savory.<br/ <br/ Followed by scallops topped with glass noodles/vermicelli with a ginger soy/shallot sauce. Scallops were fresh and stomachs were now ready for the main dishes.<br/ <br/ The mains came out almost at once, covering the lazy Susan. A couple of dishes were questionable as the ingredients and taste were the same except one was a soup and one was a stir fry bok choy and mushrooms. <br/ <br/ Deep fried Peking duck and steamed fish were probably the highlight from the mains. Fish fell off the bone. But really the soup and scallops stole the show for the night.<br/ <br/ Price was reasonable given the mouths that were fed.
Looks like this is a family favourite for Cantonese dining and I can understand why. Behind their unpretentious 90s-salmon-pink-napkins-charm their food actually delivers. The flavours are clean and authentic, and decent value for less than $30/person. Be wary of language barriers, the menus were 100% traditional script Chinese. <br/
This restaurant is a firm local family favourite, even though it's not that local to us. We started eating here about 15 years ago and have all our celebrations here birthdays, Chinese New Year, Mid Autumn Festival 中秋節 and keep coming back fo
