Bidrage med feedbackI am very surprised that there aren 't more reviews especially about the restaurant. I will start by saying that this hotel was awesome as far as the cleanliness goes and the room set up. There was one problem I had and I wasn 't going to do a review but one specific female really topped it off for me and I felt the need to say something. I was currently staying at this specific hotel for a little over 3 weeks. When you think about it that 's a long time away from my family and especially a long time to be in the same room day after day. I became familiar with the employees and some definitely made it feel like home. I stayed at the hotel roughly from june 8-june 29th. There was a specific night that I went to the restaurant after a long day in meetings and working with my colleagues. One of my colleagues was going to meet me at the bar for appetizers and a beverage on Monday June 25,2018. The restaurant was slammed and really busy, there was a older lady who wore glasses I believe her name was Amanda and she was bartending (it was her first day). There was a young lady I noticed that just arrived and she pursued to help Amanda and to take care of any guests that needed service that after noon. I noticed maybe roughly an hour later a young lady by the name of Taylor whom I believe has blonde hair as well but it 's wavy, came in and was getting ready for her bartending shift. I have seen her before and honestly don 't prefer for her to take care of me after seeing her attitude towards the other employees. Taylor wasn 't there for 10min and never in my life have I seen someone treat another employee so poorly. There was a young lady who came out to the bar from the back and mentioned Taylor 's name and Taylor started yelling at her in front of the guest while they both were behind the bar. Chelsea was the young lady that was being yelled at and when I looked her way as it was hard to ignore at such a little bar chelsea had turned around and I bet she was embarrassed as Taylor was still yelling telling Chelsea to get from behind my bar . I have had the pleasure of Chelsea, Becca, Tyler, and Taylor waiting on me in the restaurant and I would have to say Chelsea was by far my favorite and the best. Tyler is also one of my favorites. They are both easy to talk to and just have such an outgoing personality. Chelsea provides awesome service, everything was very prompt, and she also bartends so whether we sat in a booth or at the bar she made impeccable alcoholic beverages. It 's always lovely when you are able to keep employees such as Chelsea but I could just see it in her face when I was there that day that it may have been her breaking point. I told chelsea I will be back next month to see her and that she is going to do great things and I want to see her when I come back to HUNTSVILLE AL. I hope she is still there when I return in August. You aren 't going to keep great workers with one bad apple. One bad apple will ruin the whole bunch.
For the main course, I chose the Shrimp and Grits. Unfortunately, this was a letdown compared to the appetizer. The shrimp were overcooked, and the preparation was inconsistent—only two of the shrimp still had their tails on. The caramelized onions were hardly caramelized, and the knife work was similarly uneven; some pieces were julienned while others were as thick as my thumb. Additionally, temperature control was an issue—some areas of the dish were piping hot, while others were notably lukewarm. The dessert was tasty, but its presentation was peculiar. The bananas foster crepes were made with logs of vanilla bean ice cream that seemed to have been piped out, refrozen, and then wrapped in crepes. As a result, the crepes were neither warm nor did they have the crispiness that typically adds textural contrast; they felt more like soggy paper encasing the ice cream. Furthermore, everything was drenched in chocolate and caramel syrup, which overwhelmed the flavors of the bananas foster. I appreciated the creativity behind the idea, but the execution was lacking. Given the restaurant's ambiance, I expected higher quality. While it might have been acceptable at any other establishment, it’s hard to dismiss the value of the price during restaurant week!
I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel and dining in the great room, and I also frequently visited the bar during my stay. In the few days I spent there, I experienced nothing but first-class service. Every bartender and server I encountered was friendly, accommodating, and efficient. While the prices were a bit higher than I’m used to, the quality of the food and the excellent service made the experience worth it. I wouldn’t hesitate to return. I've attached a picture of my meal, which was absolutely perfect—definitely one of the best steak experiences I’ve had. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the vegetables were tender and well-seasoned.
The staff was very professional and friendly, and the food was quite good.
Great eating, very pleasant experience.
