Indian Kitchen - Huntsville

This place was delicious!!! Must try if you’ve never been.The first time we came to this location it was owned by someone else, and I wasn’t fond of the food. That was in 2016 maybe?? But husband reassured me it was not the same, and it really wasn’t!!We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala medium spicy and Lamb Vindaloo spicy, Peshwari Nann, and a appetizer that was cauliflower with a spicy red sauce I can’t remember the name)First let me just say.. their basmati rice was amazing. I don’t know what they did different. I don’t know how they made it, but it was amazingly good. My husband is Asian and we eat a lot of rice and spicy food.He said that this restaurant was perfect for adding the HEAT that he has been searching for all over this city.The Chicken Tikka Masala was so creamy and the chicken was fresh and not dried out! I can say that in the 6 states we have lived in this is the best one I’ve ever had.Now for the Peshwari Nann the flavor was great, I just wish the fruit nut mixture was more of a spread on the inside and not such large pieces thrown between the nann. It was so delicious, I just am a texture eater and would have preferred them smaller.The service was quick, and the server we had was friendly and helpful.Kid-friendliness: Booth and table options for corralling them into a booth or bringing a stroller in.Wheelchair accessibility: It definitely would be accessible.The woman’s bathroom was large enough to accommodate a wheelchair, not sure about men’s. But it was one large 1 person bathroom.

Food is great, only reason I rated it 4 stars is because they do something that does not sit right with me. So they said drinks are complementary.... cool, but I only drink water when I eat anyways....so I drank water. Well come to find out that this buffet is more expensive than the other Indian buffets in Huntsville. I would have no problem with that normally, but it is just a sneaky way to say drinks are complementary but you charge everyone the price of a drink if they ordered a drink or not. This punishes those who just drink water, and it put a bad taste in my mouth and I lost my appetite after that. If it was around the price of the other buffets and they said complementary drinks then I would have no problem.So just be warned, you really are paying for those drinks even if you technically are not. I would have loved to drimk the chai tea for example, I am sure it was good....but ever since I got COVID a few years ago I have become extremely sensitive to caffeine, so I had to cut it out completely. If you are a person who normally orders a tea or soda with your meal, then you wont notice the higher price....we water drinkers are just punished.

Prepare to face an extremely rude owner! I placed a take out order for a party. I placed the order in-person and the owner noted the list of items. During pickup, we paid the agreed amount but we saw one of the items were missing. When we requested him to check, he started shouting and said we were lying. We kept pushing and eventually he recalculated the total and found his error. Rather than apologizing he kept on shouting! He requested additional time to make the missing item. We arrived to the party 45 mins late with a very messed up mood……Very bad experience. I have never faced this kind of behavior in a restaurant.

Our service was absolutely horrible. We didn’t get refills for water, I had to walk up to the front to even get someone to come take our extra order, and to refill our drinks, even took minutes for them to come back out after that. 10/10 don’t recommend! Management needs to take control in this restaurant for sure.
