1836 Steakhouse - Huntsville

1836 Steakhouse is a unique experience that is definitely unlike other Huntsville restaurants. It 's luxurious and comfortable. Our server for the night was also very attentive and nice. But, with all that being said, the food is just not that good. Yes, it is a steak but I 've had better for way cheaper. 38 for an okay steak is not my cup of tea. God bless the broken road that led me straight to you. Dinner was amazing. The porterhouse steak was delicious. We sat at the upstairs dining area. It was a nice, relaxed atmosphere. We had an awesome waiter named Zach. Thank y’all for a wonderful evening. They were out of Mezcal, but everything else was excellent. We were celebrating our anniversary. Our food was excellent. Our appetizers were very good; but on the lobster cargot, the cheese overwhelmed the lobster. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the filet au poivre was wonderful. The only downside was service was not up to expectations. I think the server was stretched by working more than one section and could not keep up. We would eat here again. First time and last time. Lobster Cargo was a greasy-oily mess. I ordered a New York medium and it was nothing but fat and gristle. On top of that it came out rare. I had higher hopes for a steak house. The waiter asked if he could have the cook re do my steak but I declined. We paid our full bill and left disappointed. The only good thing was the wait staff.
