Bidrage med feedbackHandily located near to the citadel- northern gate. When we arrived there was nobody and we had to call but did find somebody to make an order. We had crispy fried noodle as she pointed to it on the menu- this was an interesting Vietnamese dish we would like to have again. The place was a bit grubby. Worth noting you aren’t really allowed to return to the citadel once you leave- we tried to leave for lunch as not much vegan food there, had a miscommunication with the guard on the gate and thought he understood but nearly weren’t allowed back in.
Great for lunch after visiting the ancient citadel. We found it fairly easy and ordered the banh cuon and tomato noodle soup. Both came out pretty quick, I am pretty sure they roll the cuon to order. Both were served with a mixed leafy salad and the cuon with a tasty sesame seed sauce. The portions were decent but I am a big eater so we got a second serving of the banh cuon. We also asked for chilli paste which turns out is home made and super tasty!! Seems vegan, no reason to suspect otherwise. Great service and friendly owners. All up cost was 50,000 VND. Would go again if I had time!
Simple but reliably vegan place with a set meal. The food is fairly average, but it's close to popular tourist attraction the Imperial Citadel. I was assured of no egg, milk, or meat. When I queried something that looked eggy, I was told it was tofu, which it was. Come if you're in the area.
I loved this place! Super friendly owner and it's in a really convenient location if you're sightseeing in the Imperial City and the food was delicious. I ordered a noodle dish and the pancake and she was super helpful showing me how to use the various sauces and even mixing the noodles, salad, herbs, faux prawn crackers and mock meats up for me so that I was eating it like a local! I would love to go back one day.
First, it's one of those places where both the food table and the eating area are not clean at all. Second, foreigners are required to pay extra, even though there is a menu with local prices on the wall. I did not really mind paying extra, but it was still not very pleasant, as eating there was not a nice experience.
