Hudsons

I recently enjoyed my lunch during my first visit to Hudson 's Restaurant Catering on the west side of Darrow Road/North Main Street/State Route 91 in Hudson, Ohio. In front of the restaurant there is a limited free diagonal on street parking. There are many free parking spaces on the street behind the restaurant (including a two-stage parking structure). Hudson 's Restaurant Catering is located in the Hudson Business District. In the front window is a red sign with white lettering that proudly claims BEST FRENCH ONION SOUP IN TOWN . I did not eat in all restaurants in Hudson. Hudson 's Restaurant Catering French Onion Au Gratin Soup is just great! I think they live in their fame. The broth has an enormous depth of taste and is loaded with consistent cut and bite size onion pieces without onion skins. The bread is an excellent choice. The mixture of cheese melted over the top of the bread taste great. If you go to the restaurant from the east side/darrow road side, you will see the bar at the end of the entrance hall. A hostess station is located on the right side in the centre of the dining room. If you enter the restaurant from the west side / back of the building, the toilets are left. You go down a long hall where the kitchen is behind the wall to the left, to the dining room. The staff is very good. The hostess welcomes you and leads you to your table. A busboy is in service. The hostess supports the busboy in clearing tables. There are two servers in service. My server, Aaron K., is huge. It is very friendly and makes a great task to answer questions on the menu items. It covers many tables with a welcoming and attentive way. He never walks past one of his tables without making eye contact and seeing if the diner needs a refill or top-off of a drink. Great job! The passion of the kitchen staff for cooking is reflected in every dish served. There were three menu items that caught my interest. I will try the others together with a crock of the French Onion Au Gratin soup at future visits. I ordered this trip to Main Street Burger. The Main Street Burger is an 8 ounce. Butcher Blend Beef Patty on a Brioche Bunn. The beef Patty is covered with slices of grilled mushrooms, caramelised onions and Swiss cheese. I had to ask for salads and tomato slices to scrape off my burger. Aaron K. immediately brought me the salad and tomato slices. The Main Street Burger is very tasty. Not in the same class as the French onion Au Gratin. I sat down on a four-star rating because the French Onion Au Gratin soup and the service set such a high standard and the Main Street Burger fell short THAT standard. The burger is very tasty and well prepared not exceptionally good. I look forward to tasting other menu items for future visits to Hudson 's Restaurant Catering.

This place never disappoints. It is a short walk from my office and the service is always fast and friendly. The food is always delicious. I can't think of a critique in my eight years.

Well, this place is great to eat at with simply amazing views on the outer patio! The food is excellent and we were very pleased with the service that we received. The photos below are of the Hudson Burger which had arugula, mushrooms, jalapeno bacon, and a garlic aioli all on a Brioche bun. Excellent burger.

Awesome food, service atmosphere. Delish Walleye (my table enjoyed blackened fried). The **** Mary mimosa were mixed just right. I will be at repeat customer. A true gem for Hudson, Ohio!

It was a very good experience. I had a drink and a burger the beer was great and they had a nice selection for their food. Prices were definitely reasonable and the staff are very nice. I definitely recommend!
