Weights and Measures - Houston

The croissants and cocktails were delicious!! The avocado toast was good, but I’ve had better. The service was ok. But the croissants, y’all they were outstanding!! Well worth the 40 minute drive.

This was our first visit to Weights Measures since the ownership change. We were eager to try the new menu. We visited at 5 pm on a Tuesday and besides 3 ladies at another table, the place was empty. The hostess desk was staffed by a waiter, who also served us at our table. I'm not sure why more people weren't there the ambience is nice, there's free parking, the food is delicious, and Houston Chronicle gives it a top rating. We had the cheese filled breadstick for appetizer and the 3 of us shared one and enjoyed it. We shared the 3 Way Brussels salad and the Autumn Fruit salad; the brussels sprouts got a bit tiring by the time we finished the plate, but the Autumn Fruit salad was wonderful and we could have eaten more. We missed the house made fresh bread that the old Weights Measured offered; no bread was brought to our meal with the salads, and we had nothing to sop up the delicious dressings in the bottom of the salad plates. For main course, we split the garden gnocchi and the roasted carrot pizza. The latter is unique and spicy, and delicious! The gnocchi was also very good, with tender, pillowy gnocchi with a nice pesto sauce and vegetables. For dessert we split the Chocolate Ravioli (unique and tasty and the Salted chocolate creamoux (2/3 of our table liked it . Overall impression was that the menu was more interesting than the last one. The food was generally excellent and quickly served. They deserve your business. Hopefully tables will start to fill as word gets around. :

I went to this restaurant with my coworkers to celebrate the holidays. There was one dish that I didn't enjoy, so I didn't eat it. I had to remind the server twice to bring me a drink, but I didn't receive it until someone else in our group ordered it for me. Eventually, I got my drink and it was delicious!

This restaurant is an absolutely fantastic spot for brunch. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. I'm confident that no matter what you choose from the menu, you will be satisfied. We will definitely be returning in the future!

In general, the restaurant was decent. We found the food to be underwhelming, particularly the BLT sandwich. The standout of the meal was the doughnuts.
