Bidrage med feedbackOkay, I'll say it's one of my favorite places to eat in Houston. A dragon is not a Frills shop that is run by some of the nicest waiting employees around. They are very friendly and efficient and their recommendations are great. Now on food it's amazing. The sweet and sour pork vomitings brought me back to my childhood when my mother would cook the same food on special occasions. The xiao long Bao is also delicious, with exactly the right amount of soup in the decreasing and incredibly thin (but robust) decreasing skin. All dishes were perfectly portioned and well seasoned. A dragon is a must try when you are in Houston!
Everything at One Dragon Restaurant was amazing. We ate every bite of the chili ginger tilapia and scallion pancakes. I loved the soup dumplings so much that I had to order seconds. I've always been a fan of muted dumplings, but never had tried soup dumplings. They are my new favorite and have a competent advice on how to eat them so that I don't waste any of the delicious broth.
PROCEDURE 'S: One Dragon has seven tables and specializes in Shanghai style dumplings unlike most dumplings seen in US Chinese restaurants. We are often the only non-Asian males in One Dragon. Each order is individually prepared, so expect a small wait after the order. All menu items say Shanghai Specialty are excellent. CONTACT 'S: Avoid weekends, especially Sunday, as Chinese families often dine together on Sunday, and there is usually a line waiting to sit. SUMMARY: The fabulous dragon's dumplings bring us back when we are close to Houston's Chinatown.
Excellent xaio long bao here. We also ordered scalion beef, and it was fantastic. It's a tiny place, so wait for you to go to dinner. If you want to look like a regular, write your name on the clipboard that hangs on the door to get to the waiting list.
Excellent food!!! Soup dumplings were delicious. Green beans were as good as some I’ve had in Hong Kong. We also enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken, chicken flat noodles with cabbage and onions (like lo mein), tiny wonton soup, egg rolls, and pork and shrimp dumplings. Photos of food and Menu as of 11/21/2021 Service seemed slow but be patient. There’s a big language barrier and the masks make it more difficult.
