Luby's - Houston

I love eating at Luby's. I took my grandson, who's from St Louis to lunch. There are no Luby's in St Louis and I thought this would be a good choice. I ordered the chicken fried steak meal while he ordered fried chicken. For the first time, I got a plate of food that was not satisfying. The chicken fried steak was really dry, tough and old tasting, like it had been sitting under the hot light all day. The lady that worked that area was very nice about returning it and bringing me a fresher plate. My grandson had 3 fried chicken drumsticks and once he got to the last one, it was hard and dry. It was a little too late to return it because, he ate most of it. We were very disappointed and I tried to make a good decision by taking him to Luby's. I've never had this problem with Luby's before but, my grandson said he'll never eat there again.

The food was good but they didn't have enough people serving and they had to wait sometimes 2 hours to get waited on

Spend 2 hrs in line ToGo. I got the 2 turkey feast. My mind didn't notice until I got home. I realized they didn't give me 2 pecan pie. The meal was good. I can't get that pecan pie out my head. It's too far to drive back.

Clean place with excellent Home style cooking. Absolute friendly service all the time.

The food is always good and hot hungry meals been going there for years
