Kiran's - Houston

As always, kiran is amazing. loved the crab malabar and curry seafood! also, loved the dessert, but, can not remember the names. it was a celestial sorbet with what had to be like a coconut crumb and meringues seemed! must go back for more of everything and try their naanzzas!

I had three friends for birthday. a lot of confusion at check-in. they waited at least 5 minutes for my table. they said one of the members of my party was on the wrong table (where they were sitting) then another person tried to bring us back to the same table. I asked the hostess whether we would get a nice table and with zero smiles or customer service they all said their tables are good. I only asked because I noticed when I made the reservation, it was a special occasion, a birthday, and I had requested a nice quiet table not in a high traffic area. my friends had 3 big gift bags and our wallets. a stand would have been ideal, but they sat at a small table next to a cigar stand. we felt crammed in there and there was nowhere really for the big gifted bags and no place to hang our wallets. the restaurant was quiet for the crowd so they could have a conversation. eating was just okay not to write home. the crispy stehbrot or crispy was the best part. we all had the vegetarian thiali and two bottles when champagner. we ordered three different desserts. not a person in front of the house or our waiter or someone has recognized my birthday. not one dessert had a candle on it, nothing, but no, and no one even said that they would say thank you for that when we left. the waiter was in order. he brought food, that is it. there was not that we felt welcome or special; very not intimate detached service. disappointment experience, do not recommend it for special occasions. I'm not going back. lack of customer support, in particular for the prices they calculate. there are many delicious Indian restaurants in houston, where they feel much more welcome and even a candle on one of the 3 desserts they are ordered.

Great restaurant. great atmosphere. very authentic and worth a visit.

Food superb. Inventive dishes grounded in classic Indian origins. Preparation and seasoning lovely.
