Killen's Stq - Houston

Much about this restaurant before dinner on Valentines. We had the menu set that had great options and portions. The Pork Belly was overrated with the BBQ sauce, didn't taste well. Crab-Cake was bland with the red sauce. Now the steaks, where Awesome and sides, where good. Needs more ambience and atmosphere. Eating was just okay. Service was good.

I took my wife to STQ for an early Valentine's Day and anniversary celebration. She ordered the short rib that is always excellent for both of us, but I didn't want to order the same thing, so I ordered the 8 ounces of fillet. The fillet was very standard from earlier times we have dined here and any other Steak restaurant in the area. So, I highly recommend STQ, just not level 8 ounces. Filet!

This restaurant is beautiful, but I feel it is overpriced for the taste and the environment.

The first time and sad the last time. First the good news, service was excellent and carrot cake was delicious. Michael was an excellent waiter. The remaining food was fine, but not unforgettable. Grilled oysters starter was flooded with cheese so that is all you cost. Lobster Bisque was good. I had lobster dicks, and one was meager, which is rough. Onion rings were soggy and tasteless. Steaks were good, but they had much better elsewhere. Place gets good reviews, but I don't understand. What a big disappointment for $450.

Service and food were absolutely phenomenal! Short rib was huge, fell off the bone, and is something I’ll dream about for months to come. All of the meals were quality. We’ll be back!
