Jimmy G's Cajun Seafood - Houston

One of my fav spots for delicious seafood. Came here on a Friday. In any case it is worth going back. The prices were decent.

Damn good food, but according to the quality. Much higher than I would pay, but oilfield people usually take us on their company accounts. The grilled oysters are ridiculously delicious, and the sauces they put on the fish (Ponchatrain, etc.) are incredible. Definitely worth a stop if you enjoy excellent seafood and you have the ca$h.

Very disappointed tonight. There were long waiting times between sitting, ordering drinks, drinks, etc. We had to ask for articles several times before we got them. When our food arrived, one of the dishes was not what we had ordered. We told the waitress she said she told the cook it was wrong and he told her to just take it. We sent it back, had to wait for what was actually ordered. It was one by one. We asked for the manager, talked to them about all the questions. The manager said they wanted to do it right for us, but never adjusted our bill, nor did they offer us everything else for free. Not to get a free meal or something, but if it's an experience of problems, something should be complicated.

I had lunch with a friend. I had the fried shrimps. It was good. The service was great. I'll get Heath back. The building and decor are a little long in the tooth. It is necessary to rebuild and update. That said the most important is the food in service and they were great.

Usually dont write a review but the price didn't match the quality. We ordered the gumbo and the roux was very thin. It had some flavor to it but felt it could have been better. Also ordered shrimp and added spices. The spice was good but the cook didn't know how to prepare them. Was overcooked and it was like biting into a chew toy. We returned it and 10-12 minutes later we had slightly better chew toys. I didn't have time to return my plate for third time (1st time wrong type of shrimp was brought out) so didn't send it back. If I was at some fast food type place I would have expected this but I felt like for the price I should have had something a lot better.
