The most authentic and extremely tasty Mexican restaurant in Houston. Nice comfortable family atmosphere and music. Open kitchen and great attentive waitresses. Try the Tres Leches in the end, very different from the generic sponge cake based Tres Leches from other places.
A hidden gem! Loved the service and of course the food was amazing. Handmade corn tortillas, the guisados are delicious, and the cafe de olla was perfect. Will come back.
The best Chilaquiles in Houston, period. I've tried several restaurants to satisfy my chilaquiles craving, and Fonda Sanata Rosa is the spot. I found this place 2 years ago and fell in love. The atmosphere is great. The owner is the chef and he is very welcoming. Everytime I've been he always comes to all the tables and makes sure everyone is happy with the food, place, and service. Ok, let's get to the food I ordered as seen in the pictures. Chilaquiles: with beef and two sunny side up eggs. The sauce is not spice but extremely flavorful. The tortilla chips are amazing not dry, not soggy, just perfect. (5 stars) Mole enchiladas: These were stuffed with chicken. The mole is well balanced, not spicy and you can taste all of the ingredients. (4stars) I also get their beet, celery, and carrot juice (5stars)
