Empire Turkish Grill - Houston

This is without a doubt the BEST Turkish Restaurant in Houston. I was recommended to visit this place by my co-worker from Azerbaijan after asking him What is the best Turkish Restaurant in Houston . The food is outstanding, the menu has items that are not found at almost all other Turkish Restaurants, the service is kind, and the location is safe. I recommend ordering a secret dessert item called The Kunafa Dessert . It is a rare and unique Cheesecake (more than just a Cheesecake) that is not on their dessert menu...just make sure you order it at the same time you order your main course since it takes 20+ minutes for them to prepare this unique dessert. Finally, if you will be having dinner here, aim to arrive between 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM. The large crowds tend to arrive after 7:00 PM.

We stumbled onto this place on our first day in Houston and a what a hidden jem! Service staff is attentive and food is super tasty. There is a lunch special for $12.99 that’s a great option for a single person. We also ordered Hashas Kebab. We didn’t linger after lunch as we had landed in Houston not too long ago. But the food left an impression. I would 100% recommend!

Excellent Turkish cuisine the only bad thing was it was super loud and hurtful to the ear I don't know why people were yelling while they talked. I could hear conversations from 3 tables down. Maybe some ambience Turkish relaxing oud music would help drown out the very loud school cafeteria noise. If I ever go back I would look for a time when it is not very busy because of all the loud noise. That's the part that didn't allow me to give 5 stars.

I've been coming here for almost a decade, and this restaurant has maintained its high standard throughout!I highly recommend the lentil soup, shepherd salad, stuffed cabbage rolls, and adanna kabob.

The food was decent, definitely not the best Turkish I’ve had. The main issue I had was that our waiter never table touched us during the whole duration of the dine in. My guy literally table touched all the other tables multiple times and never came to us to even ask for a refill. Garbage service.
