Cool Runnings Jamaican Grill - Houston

By far the best Jamaican spot in Houston. My Takeout order was ready in no time. Not only are the oxtails FIREEEE but they are priced fairly! The oxtail stew also surprised me with dumpling and peas mixed in. Stop here for your Caribbean craving. You willnot regret it.

At the first bite, you can taste and smell grease actually see it too. No utensils, no napkins all while the grease is seeping throughout and out of the bag. Lacked customer service.. no hello, no thank you.. just a paper bag pushed in my face. To thinkthat I drove that far for mediocre food is beyond my usual logical thinking. Oxtails has more fat on them than anything, cabbagedoesn?t looked cooked/steamed. The oxtails has some type of weird gritty texture on them! This is what happens when you ?cheat?on your usual but unfortunately they were closing by the time I finished my homework. Disgusted at the price of this greasy boxmore than anything..waste of gas and time! This was not a pleasant experience at all! Should?ve did more research apparently!Talk about annoyed!!!!

Huge portions, authentic Jamaican taste. This restaurant is quite spacious. They also feature a life band. The food is worth it. Though I will steer clear of the beef patty next time. It was a little too dry for me, but the chicken patty was nice. Willdefinitely visit again.

I definitely enjoyed my food... my first time there and it's a really busy, kinda hole in the wall spot. The set up could use a little work but it's awesome food so you can definitely overlook the look and set up. I didn't look in the dining area... maybenext time. Our food was a to go order! It was fresh and prepared quickly. The customer service was mediocre but with a spot likethat it's expected honestly. One lady that handed us the food was super friendly and sweet. She should train the whole staff.Wish I would've asked her what her name was. Anyway check them out and follow me for my 2 cents!

$20 oxtail plate.. not good at all. Oxtails had no flavor.. I got 4 small tails and lots of sauce... meat didn't fall off the bone.. beans and rice dry.. small scoop of cabbage.. never again. I'll stick with making my own
