Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant is a traditional curry house that serves a variety of dishes from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. We tried a range of starters which were all delicious, and the main courses were also tasty and flavorful. The restaurant offers a homemade dish called a Handi, which is a thick stew with lots of spices that is both delicious and warming without being overly spicy. This dish is worth trying as it is unique and different. The restaurant focuses on traditional home cooking rather than fusion or fine dining. The service was friendly and efficient, and they serve cold Cobra beer in bottles. The wine selection was not as convincing. Considering the prices I have been paying since Covid, the value for money at this restaurant was incredible. Now, my family of six can enjoy a meal here without breaking the bank. I am glad we discovered this place, and our weekly curry night is back on the schedule.
The fact that the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night speaks volumes. The older gentleman running the establishment could benefit from some additional training in customer service. Instead of addressing concerns about his odd behavior and invasion of personal space, he responded by insinuating that we were not accustomed to 5 star service. His unwarranted hostility towards my husband from the moment we walked in was very unpleasant and off-putting.
A warm friendly welcome on arrival. Seated quickly with drinks order taken immediately. Poppadoms were lovely and fresh with a good choice of chutneys and dips. Chicken Pakora starter arrived very quickly and was very tasty, crispy coating and piping hot. I asked for a slight tweak to the main course and they were happy to oblige, I very much enjoyed the Lamb Handi which arrived quickly and was also piping hot. Very tasty food, generous portions and very friendly staff, Shahid was an absolute gentleman. If I had one observation to share, the decor is very old school and you could say dated. The food and service are excellent and matter more to me than the choice of wallpaper. I'd happily return, it's great to visit a traditional restaurant this close to all the overpriced corporate eateries that dominate the airport and surrounding area. Tasty food, excellent service, generous portions and very reasonably priced. Hope to visit again soon.
Visited on a Tuesday evening. Given 5 Stars based on the service, quality of food and price. Loved the Lamb Naga and Chicken Tikka nan, chicken chilli massla was also very good, fresh vegetables. Was staying at the Premier Inn Terminal 4 worth the half hour walk.
The staff and service at this restaurant were very nice. I tried the special lamb dish with salad and naan, and it had excellent taste. The service was also great. I would definitely recommend this place.
