Golden Empire - HOUNSLOW

Used to love this place must of changed owners, thought I would revisit hoping all was the same as before, Oh how dissapointed I was, Waitress did not have a clue asked us if we wanted starters and mains served up all at the same time, Starters were all pre-cooked, re-heated and dry, no plates were offered, mains were tasteless. Worst Chinese Meal in all of the 50 years I have been eating at Chinese restaurants. Bit of advice do not entertain eating their go somewhere else. Oh and very expensive to rub salt into the wound.

As a regular customer of theirs, we were so excited to order our dinner and we love their roast duck bbq sauce on rice but the new woman working there who took our order placed the wrong order. After multiple times of me repeating the order and her reading it back in the end, I was sure we got the right one. We check the food and we get the shredded roast duck fried rice instead, I called the store, I spoke to the woman she told me I said my order in numbers as in the number of the food but I didn’t I said it clearly the name of the food we wanted, the woman with her who always takes our order knows us and I am very disappointed as after multiple explanations, they could not change our food, we have not touched it as we do not want it. Overall, this experience has changed my view on this place . How can your customer service be so bad? We were happily going to go back and return the food and get the correct one but unfortunately they could not for who knows what reason. Just a tip, if you want loyal customers, make sure to provide good service, there’s no point in serving good food if the service is pathetic, you do not think about your customers. Wonder how they would feel if it happened to them :

Was staying at the Hilton London Heathrow overnight and was craving some Chinese food. My wife found Golden Empire on the Just Eat app. Huge menu, The food was reasonably priced and arrived quickly. The reviews on that app were favourable so we placed an order for 4. About the only items we could stand to finish was the chicken soups, Pepsi and Ben Jerrys ice cream. The curry chicken and ginger chicken dishes were tasteless and what was suppose to be egg fried rice looked like dark mush. The dim sum tasted like it had been sitting around a few days and the pork buns had that hard bread feeling like they were warmed up in a microwave. 2 stars for the quick delivery and for the Ben and Jerry’s.

Never ordered from here and will never order again! Tasteless food, tiny bit of chicken in chicken balls which were full of grease. Sauce had a layer of grease on top! Most of it got thrown in bin. Absolute worst Chinese in the area!

I ordered food from here on just eat ... food came and tasted horrible ... when I opened the sweet and sour sauce it came empty like it been used!!! I called them and all I got was abuse from staff over the phone refused the send a replacement and said they shut .... don’t bover wasting your time the reviews don’t surprise me!!!!
