Chnarok Kurdish Arabic - HOUNSLOW

We had trouble finding Chnarok, only to discover it was now called Taste of Iraq with the same address but different photos on the website, which was confusing. The lentil soup arrived for our party of two before the rest of our group of four had arrived. We ordered a mixed warm starter, but as soon as we began eating, the main courses were brought out and the waitress tried to place them on the table, which was strange. The dishes were taken back and the owner said they would cook fresh, however when the main courses did arrive, they were dry as they had been reheated. We brought our own wine but were asked to sit far away from others, even though we were a group. The food was okay, but if it weren't for a friend who lives nearby, we wouldn't return. As an Iraqi myself, I experienced very bad service. We had to ask multiple times for more cutlery and plates. Overall, the experience was bad, very bad.

The food at this restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and fantastic. However, the air conditioning is outdated and ineffective. We mentioned that we were seated in a warmer section of the restaurant and it was disappointing. Despite this, I still want to return because the food is truly amazing. Hopefully, they will fix the air conditioning soon. Thank you.

The food at this restaurant is exceptional, the service is excellent, and the staff is very humble. I adore this place - all you notice are the delicious dishes, warm smiles, and lovely surroundings.

This is only our second time here and it didn't disappoint! No sooner than you are seated along comes a bowl of very tasty lentil soup and salad all on the house! I ordered the cold mixed platter as a main course which was Humus,...Baba Ganoush, Cacik, Tabbouleh, crispy fried bread pieces and salad along with a wonderful freshly baked flatbread, so crispy and light! My husband had the Mahshi kebab which was very delicious! I had a taste and it just melted in my mouth. The staff are very friendly and efficient, will definitely be visiting again!
