The right place for juicy beef at a decent price served with fried potato wedges, different steak sauces and somewhat exotic trimmings (slices of melon). The sirloin steak (entrecote, the way Swiss butchers trim it, without fat) can be ordered in variable sizes, up to...one pounders (400 grs). It is served only rare, on a hot piece of slate. So if it is too '**** ' for you, just cut off your serving and leave it on the hot stone to cook it to your liking. It is a popular roadside inn, nothing fancy, with people from all walks of life, from truck drivers to hedge fund managers. They have plenty other hearty fare and daily specials at very reasonable prices. Run by a couple, with the husband (ex butcher) in the kitchen and the lady taking care of the guests in an equally hearty, country-friendly type fashion, as is customary in similar restaurants in the Bernese Oberland.

5*. Great quality. The breaded schnitzel was very tasty and the fries also tasted good. Very good cuisine and the perfect refreshment after a long day of skiing. In addition, the prices are very good (by Swiss standards). There was nothing to complain about and I highly recommend it.
