Holzalm - Hopfgarten im Brixental

Two. February 2022 we had an infamous experience in this place. Through extremely windy, snowy weather we stopped. Open restaurant, lights on, we come as group of 6 helmets, scarves and gloves after entering. My pregnant wife goes to the toilet. We try to order tea, which is rejected by a screaming couple. Apparently they are closed during high season. We slowly leave when our hosts cry, who are not willing to give us tea or protection. Okay, feels like she's taking her living room. We wait for my wife who surprised our strange hosts during their ascent from the toilet. She screamed again, louder because she wanted to return to the restaurant to get her scarf and gloves. She was pushed into the wild by our strange cellar masters without a helmet, scarf or gloves. Please, dear Kellermeister, if you have to do your strange secret stuff in your guest house, lock your crazy door before you give us nightmares, scream and a pregnant woman in the icy winter half naked and scared.

Never been here before in all the years i’ve skied in soll! but the sun was shining and there was live music on!! the menu looked great, but on seeing the burgers in the flesh, we all had the cheese burger and they are huge!...we only needed one portion of fries between us! wish i had been here before, because i have missed out! the second pic was the day we was there, the last pic was the day after!

The waitress was rude and she couldn’t understand what we were saying, even though we all speak fluent English and German. She talked to us like we were dumb and when we finally told her to talk in a normal way, she took it as...an insult. Then she messed up our order like five times in a row and when the food finally arrived (which took way too long) she brought us two half portions instead of two normal portions. She wasn’t really helpful and there was no other waiter/waitress who took orders. So we couldn’t even ask for another one. The place was expensive, even though the food wasn’t so delicious. And the portions were too big. This place was extremely crappy. I really don’t recommend it to anyone.

So we reserved a table for the 8 of us on tuesday. We wanted to stop to eat something and relax a bit after skiing for the whole day. When we arrived to the place 5 mins after the exact time we made the reservation...for, there were still people at our table... so we waited... After we ordered, we waited for 45 mins to get our food, the waitress was impolite and rude, we were even afraid that she’s going to attack us or sth.. we paid a total of 200 euros for a simple lunch, we could only pay by cash (of course...: and we didn’t get the reciept. The whole place is so crowded it’s a struggle to even get to the toilet. Very, very, very bad, never go there! It’s outrageous that they can run a place like this. Hope the government shuts the place down soon enough. Thanks a lot Holzalm.

We waited an hour for some simple lunch dishes. Staff didn't seem to care, didn't apologise. I wouldn't go back.
