Bidrage med feedbackThe cocktail hour featured various food stations, offering sliders, a pasta bar, a taco bar, and passed appetizers. My favorite was the pork belly and quail egg combination, while the burger and chicken cutlet sliders were also delicious. The cheese ravioli with vodka sauce was tasty, although the portion size was quite large. The taco bar had a wide selection of toppings to choose from. The salad course consisted of mixed field greens with poached pears, dried cranberries, carrot shavings, goat cheese, and candied walnuts in a honey Dijon balsamic vinaigrette. While the portion size was a bit small, the dish was overall enjoyable. For the main course, I chose the grilled filet mignon with a dark port wine reduction sauce. Although I suspect it was more of a tenderloin cut, the meat was cooked perfectly to a medium rare temperature and the sauce complemented it beautifully. However, the vegetables on the plate were undercooked. Overall, I had a positive experience at this venue and would consider returning in the future.
I recently attended a lovely wedding at the Inn and venue, and I must say the setting is absolutely breathtaking. The waitstaff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, with Logan going above and beyond to take care of our table. The food was also outstanding. I highly recommend a visit to the Inn and Wedding Venue at Millrace Pond and cannot wait to go back again.
Don't miss out on this place! We hosted our daughter's wedding on 7/22/22 at the Inn at Millrace Pond, and it was absolutely amazing! We also decided to book all the guest rooms for our out-of-town guests. The renovations are beautiful and the new barn for weddings is stunning. The staff, from the Maitre-D (Gerry) to the servers and the Inn keeper (Trisha), were all incredibly accommodating. We have been receiving compliments for the past two days, our friends and family had an incredible time at the Inn at Millrace Pond!
Horrible Stay! We booked the 2BR/2BA Cabin at the Inn based on the pictures on the website. It was $400/night. Unfortunately, at check-in, the hostess couldn't locate the key. When we were finally able to get into the Cabin, we were greeted with the smell of must and mildew. Both bedrooms were furnished with full-sized beds (definitely not queens, as I have a queen at home). Furthermore, one of the toilet seats was completely covered in mold. It was DISGUSTING! The breakfast was no better than at Hampton Inn/Holiday Inn. Stay Away!
We chose this inn primarily for the cool looking tavern and the specific room (Cottage 1) for the jacuzzi tub. But the tavern was closed for renovations and the jacuzzi tub didn 't work. In fact the entire tub and shower didn 't work and we had to ask to be let into another room to take a shower. The room itself was cute and cozy but looked, in addition to not having a working bath (the knobs themselves were missing), like it hadn 't been cleaned and prepped for our stay. There was a random computer cord left by a previous guest, cobwebs in plain view, thick dust under the bed and a few dead bugs on the floor. Also the old timey door latches didn 't work so it was difficult to get back into the room from outside if you pulled the door shut and impossible to lock the bathroom not that you could take a shower in there anyway. Keri was nice and called before we arrived to make sure we knew how to check in and get the key and gave us her number to call with questions, but it was 9 pm when we discovered the shower and tub didn 't work and we couldn 't reach her or the 24 hour service line until about 10 the next morning, so we were late checking out and getting to our next destination. So, if you book here keep in mind it 's a small, family operation, and not everything may be working or available all year round. In the end we weren 't too happy that we paid almost double for the jacuzzi room and then couldn 't even take a shower.
