Bidrage med feedbackGreat place if they are ever open and keep to their hours. this is our third time, trying to go here, the Turkish coffee closure 0922 and no one yet gives no notification at the door, but light on . oh, good the third time a charm opened 1 of 3 tries. difficult to stay in business (especially a small place like this) without customers and repeat customers. will not go again. 3 stars just because I liked the Saudi coffee. they would think that a coffee shop would be opened mainly on a Saturday when the half of the world is out.
This cute, charming, miiddle eastern themen caffe has a unique character in contrast to any other in hawaii. the hotel is located in palolo, not far from the lively waialae ave, it offers a quiet retreat that fits strangely into the neighbourhood. with 5 small tables it is good for couples or singles and offers an experience that differs from dieucks. like the caffe is the menu small, but interesting, especially the drinks. my friend ordered the tumeric tonic and I had the honey rose latte that was exactly the right mix of coffee with floral rose notes, milk (my request) and honey, which can be ordered for their preference. delicious! among the spits include baba ganoush (sty and garlicky,) hummus, filled grape leaves, feta and oliven with pita (the ala carte or together can be ordered in an Arabic meza platter), avocado toast, sandwiches, açaí, gelato and dessert. everything is served in beautiful, one of the art dishes that correspond to the whimsical, artsy decor of the place. our one man barista/ food prep/ server/ cashier, john, was very nice and accommodating our special requests, but since he had to do everything solo, the service was cozy.
The perfect caffe, I wouldn't go anywhere else. the food is very filled and the Turkish and Saudi coffee are literally perfect!
Turkish coffee, Saudi coffee, lattes, all delicious! Acai bowls are yummy, gelato is local, and there is even paint and sip on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I quite enjoy coming here!
I was searching for places that served Turkish coffee. It's rare to find in Hawaii and was excited to find a cute coffee shop in Kaimuki location is a quarter of a mile on 10th Ave heading mauka from Waialae Ave. (umm hint for visitors: mauka means towards the mountains...and in this case north). The coffee shop is small but full of life, color, paintings, and of course, coffee! There are other fantastic sweets and eats that owner, Jasmin, bakes herself. I finally got my fix of Turkish coffee, which has a nice touch of cardamom. And while I couldn't stay to enjoy my coffee there, it was still a treat to be able to grab a cup for myself and also something sweet and savory to eat. I wasn't able to take pics of my coffee and food, but I was able to take a pic of the flyer that has updated hours and, of course, the outside and inside of the shop. Be sure to check it out if you're in the area but also be mindful of the hours.
