Ye Shanghai (admiralty) - Hong Kong

After having been a regular visitor for over 15 years, I still come back for the very reliable kitchen, but over the years the kitchen is innovative with its theme Shanghai style food. There are traditional standard dishes, but some with a modern twist. The staff is attentive and discreet and the decor is subtle. Very suitable for an interesting lunch or cozy evening with friends. By car, taxi easy to reach, and on the admiralty travel hub is a wonderful bonus.

Ye Shanghai is your typical, spacious, family-friendly restaurant serving high-quality Shanghainese food in HK. I especially loved the crispy, but airy texture of the eel and the braided Tianjin cabbage was so mild and comforting. For more reviews: @whatssizzlinn

Super nice shanghise restaurant. The service was on the line and the food was delicious. Presentation was like fine food.. The atmosphere was like one of the demanding Rich Asians coming to have a casual dinner in the middle of the week. Definitely recommend to check!

I’ve been coming here since i was 7, and it became a tradition where i would bring my mom here every year for mother’s day and other days as well obviously . This place was newly renovated about half a year ago.. Friendly staff, spacious wont feel cramped like typical Chinese restaurants , and most importantly great good for great price. You can eat a lot for very little, but at the same time, they have great seafood delicacies as well abalone, shark fin.. etc . Definitely would recommend their pan fried meat dumplings 煱貼 , meat buns 生煎包 , cold appetiser called 雞絲粉皮, and shanghai fried noodles 上海粗炒麵 ! I could list more but thats just from the top of my head, oh and they have a pretty good selection of chinese and foreign liquors for those that like to enjoy a drink with their meals ;
