Sugai Kona Coffee - Hōlualoa

We recently discovered Sugai Kona Coffee while touring the region, and it turned out to be the best coffee in Kona! The manager, Kay, spent an hour with us explaining the entire process, the details and requirements of true Kona coffee, and the history of the Sugai family. This small farm quickly became our favorite, with the best coffee we had ever tasted. We visited many other plantations in the area, but nothing compared to the smooth and flavorful coffee at Sugai's. We loved it so much that we went back the next day and bought 5 pounds to take home with us.

My wife and I visited this place in May and received a lovely, warm, and informative introduction to Kona coffee. We learned about the unique process that Sugai uses in its production and roasting. Sugai is a charming small coffee producer with delicious award-winning coffee and friendly staff. We highly recommend it.
