After trying seafood, street food, and high-end restaurants in Hanoi during our two-week trip in Vietnam, we were looking for something different. The beautiful view of the port and the sunny weather led us to this small restaurant with a terrace overlooking the water. The table was elegant and clean, and the service was good. We were intrigued by the French cuisine on offer and were pleasantly surprised by how well it was adapted to Vietnamese flavors. We started with the city's specialty, White Roses, which was delicious. I then tried the tiger shrimp with grated potatoes and a light butter, which was simply perfect. The portions, presentation, and taste were all excellent. We found the restaurant to be peaceful and cozy, and it ended up being the last restaurant we visited during our three days in Hoi An. The only downside was the lack of dessert options, but there is a small bakery on the ground floor for those craving something sweet.
They were very accommodating to my gluten-free dietary needs. I ordered the spring rolls, pork belly fried rice, and chocolate mousse.
