The Little Grocery (downtown) - Hoboken

I love this place! Owner is friendly, food is amazing, what more can you ask for? Don’t be fooled by lack of fancy marble tables and shiny machines. What you will get is a genuine friendly service and an amazing egg sandwich. Egg is fluffy and cooked perfectly, bread is always fresh, and coffee is always hot and flowing. Also tried their amazing French toast and always see other people get this opened faced sandwich. Don’t judge me for ketchup in my sandwich! I just love ketchup, it’s not bc sandwich needed another element. Only watch out, it may not be open exactly at 8am! ;

Best French toast I’ve ever had!!! It was so thick and fluffy and pure deliciousness!! The omelet in the breakfast platter was also super creamy and delicious! The cook and owner were super friendly and even did a flambé on my toast. My family wanted to go back again the next day, but it was closed to our dismay. I look forward to coming back!!

The food was quickly made and quickly eaten. Definitely delicious and great for a fresh morning start. The owner was very friendly and joked around when I accidentally spilled my coffee, then helped clean it. : He even gave my friend a bagel after he changed his mind on what bread he wanted for a sandwich. Super cool dude. Good food. Would recommend.

Really enjoyed this quaint little bistro. Perfect brunch spot, I assume they must be really busy for breakfast/lunch. I have to come back to try the other menu items but the French toast and the Croque Madame were amazing.

This place was so charming! I came here for breakfast to get away from the chains by my hotel. I ordered a egg and cheese and coffee (only $5) and it was delicious! The owner was very friendly too. You can get it to go or eat at a table inside the cafe.
