Stampens Kvarn - Hjo

Our visit at Stampens Kvarn really made our time in Hjo special. We were lucky to try the Friday breakfast buffet at the cafe. The sourdough bread was top notch. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. The variety of the food at the buffet was sufficient. We will definitely come back!

Delicious home made food. Traditional Swedish husmanskost with a twist. If you get a chance go there on Sundays and try their brunch. It is absolutely fantastic. They also have outdoor seating next to a small pond. Very beautiful. They also have a nice rustic barn that is perfect for weddings and similar festivities.

Best lunch in Hjo. Ask anybody. Excellent food prepared from local ingredients. They really go the extra mile in the kitchen to prepare the weekday lunch buffet. Far better than Skaraborg average with one meat dish and one fish. Fun atmosphere although it can get crowded around lunch 11.00 to 13.00. Book a table if your party is 4 or more. Don't miss a walk around the mill. Beautiful surroundings.

Just a generally wonderful place! A bit off the beaten path, in relaxing surroundings, lovely atmosphere and just GREAT food and service! Great for bringing the kids too, and a reasonable place to begin or end a short trek through Hjo Dalgång.

Don‘t miss out on this Little Gem on the side of the road! We stopped here for lunch and encountered very friendly staff, amazing food (delicious authentic swedish food and the best self made sourdough bread! and even learned something about the history of the old Mill. Very accesible for Camper Vans and Vegan Options available! Just ask the staff. 100% recommend!!
