Markfield Fish - Hinckley and Bosworth

We have been coming here for years and it’s always reliable. That means a lot, especially during these difficult times. The owner and staff are all so pleasant and helpful , hygiene standards seem excellent. Have started having the scampi which does have to be...ordered as soon as you arrive, but tastes great.

We had been eagerly waiting for Markfield Fish Bar to reopen, only to be let down by our first experience with their fish and chips. The fish was low quality and the chips were lukewarm, as if they had been sitting out for too long. Normally this restaurant is great, but this time it was very disappointing. Perhaps they should bring back the usual staff, as the service was slow and the food did not taste fresh. The batter was also lacking, as it was thin and easily came off when unwrapped.

Local Chippy is a cozy spot where you can enjoy delicious Fish and Chips along with other classics, served by the friendly staff.

Great place but hardly ever have cod! So not for us. We drive further a field just for cod. Its a shame because we would use more often.

Mins off the just north of Leicester. This is a top class local chippy. First visit tonight. Cod fresh. Chips really good. Nice staff, fast service.
