Mullets - Hilton Head Island

Thanks for finally stumbled on Mullets. The food was excellent and the atmosphere/adjustment on the water is a perfect way to finish your day. Definitely a place to take your family and let the kids walk around. Just bring your bug spray... We'll be back when we're in HHI.

I came to the truck twice. The first time we arrived when we expected the truck to be opened first. They were closed. We decided to wait and two people showed up 10 minutes later and took another 15 minutes. The fish tacos and fried shrimp were delicious, but the chicken was slightly undercooked. It was a little sponge and a little pink. We were killed, cooked and ate. The second time we were good after they were open. No one was there again. Two more cars came behind us. A man told us they were closed for rain. Are you kidding? This is summer on Hilton Head. Showers happen every day! Just when I was there (with the three cars) they lost the business of 11 people! We went to Bistro 17. If you leave, you have a plan.

My new favorite restaurant on the island! Scenic, rustic and secret with excellent service. Everyone is so friendly and the food is to die. Seriously, I haven't stopped thinking about their shrimp for days!!

Our family group was impressed by the fried shrimp basket and freshly cut frits. Grilled fish tacos were good, but of atypical roasted flour tortillas marred; warmed maize tortillas usually superior. A traditional lime wedge with the tacos would also help. I look forward to trying a fish sandwich next time; looks delicious in the picture here.

Heard about this new food truck from a friend and decided to give it a try with my family. What a great time we had. The food was great and atmosphere was perfect, a real island feel. We order the fresh fish sandwich and fried shrimp tacos. Everything was AMAZING! Highly recommend this cute little dive.
