Bidrage med feedbackWe drove past Reilley’s for the first time and noticed how busy it was and decided to find out why. Fun atmosphere, delicious food and good service. That’s why. One of the few restaurants I’ve been to lately that seemed more than adequately staffed. Good Friday night Prime Rib special. A little loud but that’s because so many people were enjoying themselves. A very popular place.
We stumbled across this place on our first night on the island. We were very happy with the service and the food was good. Between the four of us we had Fried Cheese and Potato Skins as appetizers and they both were good. For dinner we had Fish Shrimp, Hamburger and Steak. They were all good, I could have done without the gravy on my House Bistro steak but that was on me (I should have requested). The bread pudding was amazing and the peanut butter pie. The key lime pie was a little too tart for my liking. All in all, we will return our next trip to the island.
Honestly, this was the worst meal I had for the whole week I was in Hilton head. My family and I ordered salads and appetizers which were ok. The menu stated that the chef has been preparing chicken cordon bleu for 30 something years. My dad, my partner, and I ordered the cordon bleu, my mom ordered a burger, and my sister the crab cakes. The only thing that was edible were the crab cakes. The chicken cordon bleu was so dry, and was very hard to get through and it was barely warm. The mashed potatoes had a hard “skin” on the top, and the beans were cold. The bread on my moms burger was stale. Our server was friendly, but he was busy and we were served and he didn’t return until the “end” of the meal. I chose this restaurant based off of the reviews and things others had said… Maybe it was a bad night?
Went to Reilly's for lunch with the woman, daughter and three young grandchildren and we were all happy campers as well as as as always. I had the fish and chips and both were kicked to perfection and really spiced. Wife filled her Reilly's Chicken Pot Pie breeding with two thumbs up and daughter Huhn Tasso Pasta and disappeared like a champ. We came later in the week for dinner with our other daughter and son, and our dinner was stellar as usual. I had rubbed my favorite coffee Ribeye, my son had a NY strip, we shared a tuna appetizer, and my wife had her chicken pot cake and my daughter had her crispy fish and chips. We never met the island without stopping at Reilly’s!
My husband and I were at Hilton Head for our two-year anniversary. We decided to go here, the food was delicious. The atmosphere was amazing. Hosts and waiters were very nice. I'll say make reservations for dinner because it's a very busy place.
