Bidrage med feedbackIt’s shouldn’t surprise me, but it does. I ordered chicken strips with gravy and the Papas special with a Dr. Pepper. What have I learned? The chicken strips are store bought frozen strips. Don’t care for them. The gravy is brown. Why? Everyone knows that you serve white (country, milk, cream, pepper; whatever you call it) gravy with chicken. The flavor was extremely odd. It wouldn’t surprise me to find out that if it’s packaged gravy. The pizza tastes like a frozen pizza. It’s like your average frozen pizza you get from the store. It was also very soggy in the middle. Is there anything made from scratch? If they want to compete with mcdonalds on quality (of which mcdonalds has 0 quality), they have to step it up. I will never eat their food again.
Ordered from here (via Uber Eats) during a stopover in Scranton. The cheese pan pizza was Excellent with crispy melted cheese to match the crispy crust. The chicken Parmesan sandwich was also delicious as is, without any modifications needed. Thank you to the Proprietor and cooks for a tasty dinner!
I 'm new to the area of pizza in NEPA after trying what some said was the best pizza O.F. was supposed to be it! Well, I 'm from NY/NJ and that was not for me. So I 've been gun-shy on trying others. Well, I LOVE pan pizza and it 's crust, so when someone said to me, have you tried Pappas ? I said no! Well, dang it if this is what I was missing. I got a plain pie tonight and it was FANTASTIC! Quick curbside service, smelled great ALL the way home and then I opened it! YUM! I haven 't eaten a whole pie since college! Tonight I did! I ll be back! Thanks!
I have traveled the U.S. visiting major cities to find the ultimate pizza, willing to pay almost any price. Unfortunately, I tried Pappa's Pizza in Scranton Pennsylvania, and new that I had to move to Scranton. I could not bare to live where I could not obtain the best pizza in all of the universe. It tastes unlike any other pizza, better than the best pizzas in Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, to name a few. I warned you, do not even taste it, or you will be addicted.
I grew up in this town and have been going to Pizza by Pappas since my days at Bishop Hannan High School which used to be around the block. I recently visited Scranton, PA and was shocked when I walked in to the restaurant and saw the same owner behind the counter creating the pizzas. It's so good that my parents actually brought me two trays to Spain when I was studying there! While nearby Old Forge also offers incredible pizza, this is my go-to place when in Scranton. It tastes the same as I remember when I was a kid. Bravo!
