Thai Orchid - Hillcrest New Zealand

Ordered a mix of curries with a few friends during exam period- all medium spicy. Thai green was the star of the show but it was waaaaaay more spicy than all the other ones ???? I could not. Too spicy. Too painful.I did not need more pain in my lifeHeck, does anyone?

A little slow on service but the restaurant was (by the time we left) full. Entree average (Angel chicken and spare ribs) with not as much flavour as we would have liked. Mains made up for it .. green curry and pad Thai was enjoyable but not quite enough for five stars. Friendly staff.

We ordered a set menu. It was a good meal overall. Enjoyed my meal and the venue. Nothing stood out in particular flavour wise, but everything was great.

Super nice service and dining environment: Went there on the mid-autumn festival with GF, feels satisfied with the food, especially the pure white rice, can suit any kind of dishes which is awesome

Pleasent place to visit... food was good.. service too was upto the mark.. We ordered Angel wings, chilli garlic stir fried curry and pinapple fried rice... everything tasted pretty good.. Good experience overall!!
