Bidrage med feedbackSunday evening I went with a friend to a nice dinner. The food was okay, nothing special, but okay. Pretty expensive. We sat in the garden and had to wait and wait to get the menu, then the waitress disappeared again. After a long waiting period we could order. The food came extremely fast. Fresh? We haven't seen our waitress for a long time, we tried to get the attention of the other waitress, but no such luck. Are they so badly paid that they were just the most necessary kind of service or were they all in a very bad mood? We were never asked if we enjoyed our meal or if we wanted something else. I ordered elder wine that was supposedly homemade, but tasted like discounters. I took a sip, gave it back, but I had to pay for it. We will never visit this place again.
We've been coming here for a few years and we've never been disappointed. It was recommended to us by my aunt who lived on site and knew most Erkrath restaurants well. I think it suffers a bit, not a big street front just a sign through the driveway, but good the 'search'. The menu has a basic basis for regular dishes, but makes great game of seasonal dishes asparagus at Easter / Spring; Goose at Christmas time; Game in the profusion in autumn and winter months. All dishes are excellently prepared and presented. The staff are friendly and helpful, the 'boss' is a real character; speaks very good English as well as a good feeling of humor. We are looking forward to our next trip.
We were recommended to this restaurant by our hotel owner in the Unterfelshaus in Erkrath and she has booked a table for us. We had a nice meal. I had one of their special carvings covered with local mushrooms and shrimps in a magnificent sauce. The other 3 also had carvings with different sauces. We all ate too much, but it was too nice to go. Unfortunately too full to eat desert. The scavengers were all offered in pork, but no veal and for non-cooked Jewish donkeys they offered chicken carving as an alternative to additional costs. The service was excellent, although I only saw a server, so I have no idea how it would have been if the restaurant was full. We recommend eating here. A small comment from my wife, who certainly did not harass the rest of us, was that she preferred a carving to become thinner. They have a lovely outdoor area with parasols, but it was a little cool to eat and it started to rain easily. A little point I didn't notice, but my wife did that tablecloth was slightly dirty.
Is not worse! With 2 families around 17 o'clock at the German party no longer get drinks. other guests were still sitting on the Terasse for an hour.If you read the reviews here, a lucky one we were not allowed to consume.
